MEP Birgit Sippel

Misachi Ogawa has been a policy advisor (APA) for MEP Birgit Sippel since 2019, responsible for the policy areas of migration, asylum and border management. He has closely followed the negotiations on the EU asylum reform, having assisted MEP Sippel in her role as the European Parliament lead negotiator for the Screening Regulation. He is currently working on the revision of the Facilitation Directive and Parliament's Working Group on the Implementation of the New Pact on Migration and Asylum. Previously, Misachi was working as a public affairs consultant and holds a B.A. in International Relations from the University of British Columbia as well as a M.Sc. in EU Politics from the London School of Economics.
