Louise Michel

Morana Miljanovic is part of the Advocacy team of Louise Michel, a queer feminist project active in the Central Mediterranean with a ship that sails in solidarity with people on the move and in resistance to the racist border regime of the EU.  

Morana has worked in strategic litigation in asylum cases as a human rights lawyer in the Croatian Law Centre, investigated corporate digital surveillance of persons and communities as a researcher at Tactical Technology Collective in Berlin, developed and facilitated various workshops as an educator, is part of the Pirate Care project, published a novel Invisible Islands/Islas Invisibiles in 2020 in Mexico, and performed at various sites as a dancer. She works as a sailboat captain and teacher, writes poetry and does grass-root organising, being based on Korcula, in Berlin, and in Bacalar. She has been active in maritime Search and Rescue since 2019, mostly with Sea Watch and Louise Michel.
